Showcasing the principles of a mid-engine sports car

Porsche 718 Range

A characterful mid-engined sports car

The Porsche 718 embraces the concept of freedom and characteristics of a mid-engined sports car. The 718 features a range of engines with new 4 cylinder turbo charged units, producing up to 350 PS whilst reducing fuel consumption compared to the previous generation.

The exterior of the 718 is low, wide and sleek with long flowing lines. Featuring key elements of Porsche DNA such as the high front wings which incorporate LED headlights, large air intakes, exterior mirrors with 'v' shape base and large alloy wheels. The rear of the 718 features slim LED tail lights, sports exhaust and an automatically raising boot lid spoiler.

The interior of the 718 uses premium materials, advanced technology, a sporty driving position and excellent ergonomics. The sports steering wheel is derived from the 918 hyper car, the three cluster instruments with a central rev counter are typical Porsche and the Porsche Communication Management system uses a 7" glass touchscreen to control the cars navigation, media, settings and smartphone integration. The 718 offers a great range of personalisation options.

The race car for the road

The 718 Cayman GT4 is designed to make the pulse race, a race car for the road. Featuring a naturally aspirated 4.0 litre six cylinder with 420 PS. This allows the GT4 to sprint from 0-62mph in 4.4 seconds and to a maximum speed of 188mph. Other highlights include a manual gearbox, upgraded aerodynamics and interior.

Aerodynamic upgrades include the front apron providing downforce with a special surface to reduce drag, front spoiler lip and front air intakes. There are side air intakes behind the doors to provide efficient engine cooling, 20” GT4 alloy wheels with sport tyres, rear apron with two exhaust tips and diffuser.
