I'm going to leave a truly honest review...I say that because as a consumer we can often demand too much but likewise there are basic expectations in service levels expected when making such a premium purchase....used or new. So overall I'd give the rating a 3 out of 5.....my sales person 'Scott' I will mark as 4 out of 5 personally. So from walking in and being given a test drive it was a good experience, valuation of my vehicle personally was too low but again I'll criticize myself here and say perhaps my own expectations of how much my car was worth was maybe too high. The money given off the vehicle I felt also could've been better.....I'm basing this on general margins most dealers have and also previous dealings with LSH Erdington who were brilliant when it came to doing a deal with my wife's car earlier in the year (2020). On top of this, the one thing I did ask for extra was rubber mats for the car which was flat out denied....I was told this was simply not going to happen, due to them keeping the car so competitively priced. Ok so roll forward to financing (which in all honesty is the way to go due to their fantastic deal on warranty with it and MOT's), it took the dealership 4 days for the online paperwork to reach me and that was after I'd made about repeated phone calls and sent numerous emails to my sales rep. Why it took 4 days....I still haven't been given any explanation, also further to add to this....I requested my Mercedes Finance agreement details on the day I collected my car so that I could make a payment towards the finance.....Scott duly said he'd get their main Finance guy (Jon) to forward these details onto me but 6 days on and I've received nothing even though Jon was copied into the email from Scott...and yes I've checked my Spam inbox. So from that point of view bitterly disappointed! The handover itself was pretty quick....I guess given Covid-19....but in all honesty if I had to compare it to the experience at LSH it was extremely sub-standard for a Mercedes dealership.....no mention of Mercedes Me, Service Plan, Extended other warranties and whatever other coverage there may have been and services to provide. I don't expect the red carpet to be rolled out but I was left somewhat deflated....I will add however that I have no gripes with Scott. So the Pro's: - Scott was a lovely sales rep to deal with - Car was prepped as good as any used car can be - Warranty that comes with financing is really good...so far as not having to have used it The Con's: - Valuation on used car too low - Very little negotiation on vehicle price - Financing paperwork took over 4 days to reach me - Request of rubber mats denied flat out - 2nd request for financing information to make a payment never arrived Some people would or may say that I've possibly been seduced by the huge showrooms elsewhere but that's simply not the case, all I care about is service and promises delivered upon and a little flexibility when it does come to mats for instance or mud flaps etc. Now I'm also not that silly to know that most of these so called freebies are build into the overall price, but I guess it adds to the whole experience. Having been an owner of many Mercedes vehicles and also being attached to a family who really only shops with Mercedes....I'd really have to think twice about purchasing a car from there....but I guess it does ultimately come down to the price overall....but service and experience is also key. I've purchased a service plan and so will more than likely be using the dealership for my services, as I'm a great believer in second chances but just hope that moving forward all of that goes smoothly. Hopefully this was helpful, some good bits....more bad bits than I wanted....an honest review.

I had my car serviced here today. A very good, professional service. Everyone that I spoke to were very friendly and happy and I felt very comfortable sitting and waiting for my car. As for the car, great service and thoroughly explained, and nice and clean now! Would highly recommend this garage.

Although the service was acceptable and everyone was helpful, a courtesy car was not available for me although it is part of the service agreement. I didn't get a call to tell me my car was ready for collection. I told the service team member to call me on my landline as the mobile reception at home is very poor. The brake condition was wrongly diagnosed. Indicated as front but should have been rear. I was informed that the rear carpets were wet and needs further investigation. But I understand that this is a common problem on early vehicles and doesn't need further investigation. Mercedes will know what the problem is and should offer a fix.
