My wife's TT had a serious problem that was difficult to diagnose for very understandable reasons. The Workshop's thoroughness in exploring the potential courses and the potential solutions was impressive, as was the Fitter's ability in explaining these. Throughout this, Service ensured I was routinely advised of progress, keeping timing promises and including ensuring I was advised technically. All this enabled a cost effective solution to be successfully achieved! Special mention, thanks and a big Well Done to Hanna in Service and Ian in the Workshop.

There was no record on Audi system that we had a Service plan, so the servicing of the car has been delayed while the staff was trying to find it. That meant that we had to wait at least another hour. The car was not washed as the water pipe was frozen? So we have been invited to bring the car back to wash it but we cannot guarantee that that will happen as the car wasn't washed properly when we bought it as the staff was short of time!

Update as of 12th November: All sorted and though it has been a bit of an “experience" I have to say that once Macclesfield Audi lined up behind me they have been great and the car is fixed. When I picked it up it was waiting for me in the "new car bay” and was immaculate. Audi Macclesfield valeted the hire car and returned it to EuropeCar (at their expense) also they have extended my warranty for two years as a curtesy for the issues that I have had.... Job done and thanks to all. Update as of 6th September: Audi Macclesfield have come through really positively and agreed to refund my costs and have formally apologised. I have edited down my post from yesterday as it reflected my frustrations and I will remove it permanently in due course. My faith is restored and the Head of Business who called me was lovely. Clearly there was an issue with getting through to the right person as it has taken me a long time but I am sure this will be sorted. I know from my own business that things do go wrong and it is a really positive reflection on Audi Macclesfield that they have recognised that apologised and sorted the problem.... Cheers Bill Original, shortened post: OK, so a bit of a tale of ongoing problems.... It is not in any way a refection on the front of house team at the dealership whom have collectively been lovely (even when I was very publicly losing my temper!) I purchased an A6 AllRoad 55 from Macclesfield Audi in May 2021 it was a new vehicle that had been pre-registered. It was my second Audi AllRoad from Audi Macclesfield. It was already fitted as a factory option from new with a Tow Bar (which is essential for my work and my holidays). The car was serviced on Monday 3rd July I reported that it had on 3-4 occasions shown a critical/do not drive suspension fault that rectified itself as soon as the engine was running. The warning/fault was identified by the service team but as it was “inconclusive" no action was taken and I was told that if it reoccured I was to call Audi Assistance. On the 16th July the front suspension failed completely. On the 18th July the car was delivered to Audi Macclesfield. Later that week I was told that the suspension had a fault but in order to identify that fault a suspension tool was needed and that tool would not be available until mid to late August. Only then would the problem be identified and parts ordered to fix. Issue: I was going on holiday with a trailer/tent on the 10th August....OK, I am sure that Audi will loan me a car with a tow bar..... Short answer is no they won’t (I was given an A3 saloon) I either gave up my holiday or rented a car with a tow bar at my own expense. I hired a Toyota HiLux and paid for insurance and recovery for my holiday at a cost of over £2,500 (which I don’t regret for a moment as we had an amazing family holiday). Audi Macclesfield have said they will not reimburse me it is my issue.....just as a final point (again) the front of house team are lovely......but if something goes wrong then you are somewhat on your own. Vehicle was in for a recall. I was well looked after on arrival by the service team and my car was in the workshop straight away. I was kept updated as the work was carried out and enjoyed complementary coffee in the waiting area. My car also received a complementary health check and wash & vacuum. I am very satisfied with the service received.
