The My BMW App is designed to maximise your ownership experience by connecting you to your vehicle. It allows you to stay in the driving seat, even when you’re not with access to your vehicle data, preparing you for your journey ahead. 

Remotely lock, or unlock the vehicle, turn on the lights and view your vehicles location. Schedule your Servicing remotely via the app at your preferred retailer with visibility of current pricing as well as diary availability. Have access to the BMW Store to upgrade your vehicle with the latest on board functionality

The benefits by using the BMW app for Petrol and Diesel owners include the following:

✔ Check your car’s current fuel level and estimate its range. 
✔ Use the map function to locate nearby fuel stations and see the price of fuel at each. 
✔ Check the engine oil level is sufficient. 
✔ Plan your next route remotely 
✔ Activate the lights to locate it in a busy place 
✔ View vehicle servicing requirement and schedule via the app
✔ Should you ever break down, you can use the app to call for BMW Roadside Assistance and automatically share your car's vitals.
 

The benefits by using the BMW app for Electric owners include the following: 

✔ View its current battery status and estimated range with the maps feature. 
✔ Locate and navigate to nearby charging stations. You can also see whether they’re in use and the cost of charging. 
✔ Access the BMW Charging Network to see your previous charging history, costs and account details. 
✔ Pre-condition your car while it’s still charging to take its battery to the ideal temperature. This means it will work at its full efficiency as soon as you’re ready to set off, while saving battery power for heating or cooling the cabin as you drive. 
✔ Plan your next route remotely 
✔ Activate the lights to locate it in a busy place 
✔ View vehicle servicing requirement and schedule via the app 
✔ Should you ever break down, you can use the app to call for BMW Roadside Assistance and automatically share your car's vitals.

How to assign your preferred Service Partner


The Telematics system uses on board sensors to determine when Servicing or maintenance is required on your vehicle. With BMW Teleservices you no longer need to think about when your next service, brake pads of vehicle check is due. Your BMW will transmit this information to your preferred Service Partner, and you will be contacted without delay to arrange an appointment.

How to Connect to the My BMW App

Whether you are using an Apple or Android phone we have you covered.

To create your account you need to do the following: 

✔ Set up your User ID
✔ Read and accept the Terms and Conditions
Log into your account and create a PIN number.
You now need to connect the vehicle to your account for the app to receive your vehicle data eg. Fuel levels, battery level etc.

Press the car symbol in the top right, this will take you to ‘The Garage’
In ‘The Garage’ check ‘My Vehicles’ tab and select add vehicle.
You can find this on the bottom right hand side of your windscreen, or inside the drivers side door.
Once you have entered the chassis number this will generate a security code (for iDrive 7 users this will generate a QR code – please follow the steps below to access)

✔ Once in your vehicle make sure the screen is on
✔ Go into ‘Communication’ and access ‘BMW Messages’ or if using iDrive 7 you will see a notification appear in the top right hand corner, click the notification.
