New Range Rover Unveiled

The most desirable Range Rover ever built

Range Rover

History Of The Range Rover

The Range Rover has always been a firm favourite with celebrities, royalty and explorers.

First launched in 1970, the Range Rover was designed to be more luxurious than Land Rover products but still be basic with vinyl seats and plastic dashboards which could be hosed down. Features such as power steering, carpeted floors, air conditioning, cloth/leather seats and wooden trims were available later.

The second and third generations added extra technology and luxury, with the third generation being co-developed with BMW and featuring components from the BMW 7 Series. The fourth generation uses aluminium to improve the driving experience and fuel efficiency, weighting 420kg less than the previous model. In 2018 a PHEV model was also introduced along with a facelift.

In late 2021 the fifth generation Range Rover was unveiled at The Royal Opera House in London and is the most desirable Range Rover ever made.
