Before you contact us, we've put together some answers to some of the questions you may have about our Signature Direct service.
Who is Inchcape Signature Direct?
Inchcape Signature Direct is part of Inchcape Retail, one of the largest franchise dealer groups in the UK. We can give you the Peace of Mind of a business that has been trading for over 100 years and operates from over 100 Retail Centres in the UK and 27 markets around the world.
How does your Price Promise work?
We're so confident in the pricing of our cars that we offer a Price Promise on all of our Signature Direct Cars, so if you can find an identical car with a like for like price and package within 7 days then we will match it.
A genuine written retail quotation must be provided from a UK main dealer, with a car of identical specification, package, model year and within 2,000 mileage difference. (Excluding imports) Retail customers only.
Can I see the Car before buying it?
If you would like to see the car before you buy it, you can speak to a member of our team who will let you know how you can do this. All of our cars come with a 14 day money back guarantee, so if you are not completely satisfied with the vehicle in that time you can return it for a refund or alternative vehicle.
Does the car have a full service history?
Yes, all cars have a full service history. We will send you the full service history in your purchase confirmation pack.
Does the vehicle have an MOT?
Yes your car will be delivered to you with a full 12 month MOT. The delivery driver will provide you with the MOT certificate but you can also check the status to the MOT on the Direct Gov website.
Are extended warranties available?
Yes, you can extend your warranty to 12 months at an additional premium.
What is the condition of the car?
We aim to be as transparent as possible in providing you with all the information you need to buy one of our cars.
If we do find any damage on the car when we originally inspect it, we will repair the damage. Any minor damage or scratches in line with the car's age and mileage are expected and will be detailed in the description and photos available able to you on Auto Trader. All the tyres will have a minimum of 3mm of tread depth including the spare.
Will the car be road taxed before it's delivered to me?
Yes, the car will be taxed for 12 months when we deliver the car to you. The cost of the appropriate tax for the specific vehicle will be added to the overall on the road price of the vehicle.
Where do you deliver the car to?
Anywhere in mainland UK. We're happy to deliver your car to your home, or your place of work, whatever is most convenient to you. All we ask is that you are available to accept the vehicle at the time agreed and have photo ID available.
What is the cost of delivering the car?
There is no cost to deliver the car to one delivery address anywhere in mainland UK.
What payment options are available?
There are a number of payment options available to you to purchase the car. You can apply for finance over the phone, tailoring the term and amount of deposit to generate the right quote for you. You can also choose to include the cost of your road fund tax for the initial year and any additional warranty costs should you decide to upgrade to 12 months.
You can also pay in full for the car by electronic bank transfer or alternatively if this is not possible we can accept Credit and Debit card payments.
How much can I borrow on finance?
The finance company will normally lend up to the value of the car plus any road fund licence and extended warranty, however any restrictions they may apply will be communicated to you before you are asked to sign your agreement.
If my finance application is approved when will the payments begin?
Payments will usually begin one month after signing your agreement.
