Built at our award-winning Tahara plant in Japan and overseen by Takumi craftsmen, the new IS doesn’t just look stunning, it delivers an irresistible performance. On the outside, you’ll see the Lexus spindle grille and striking LED lights, while the interior boasts a 10.3-inch display, beautifully stitched leather seats and laser-etched wooden inlays.

The Lexus Safety System+ is available as standard across the range (above SE grade), and includes intuitive driver information, better forward vision, prompt warnings of hazards and collision risks, and autonomous braking in an emergency.

Delivering 245 DIN hp of roaring, dynamic power – the IS 200t is a Sports Saloon with a difference. Its ability to rapidly accelerate means that the model can reach a staggering 143 mph (where the law permits), while the 8-speed transmission offers a flexible driving experience - allowing direct shifts. Attention to detail has been heavily paid to exterior styling, as well as performance.

Twin exhausts add to the stylish and sophisticated engineering throughout, while an imposing spindle grille, long coupé roofline, low bonnet and L-shaped LED daytime running lights all complete the athletic exterior appearance. As far as aerodynamics are concerned, the new IS 200t leads the way – thanks to tiny winglets on the front door pillars and rear lights (pulling airstreams inwards) and refined touches like a near-flat underbody.
A full-throttle, petrol turbo alternative to the popular IS 300h (Hybrid) – the IS 200t is fuelled for the challenge, wherever it may take you. The Lexus IS has a simple mission. It needs to be a car that you'd enjoy owning more than a Mercedes C Class, an Audi A4 or a BMW 3 series, the three leading choices in the compact executive saloon segment. Lexus used to simply try and copy these class leaders but with this third generation IS, they've been a bit cleverer, primarily through the offering of petrol/electric hybrid power rather than the kind of 2.0-litre diesel engine business buyers will be used to. It's a refreshing approach for people in search of something just that little bit different and its been lightly embellished with the introduction of this revised MK3 model. Lexus has made small changes to both the steering and the suspension of this improved model in an attempt to create a more dynamic feel. Under the bonnet, the brand will offer you a pair of engines. There an IS 200t model powered by a 2.0-litre four cylinder turbo unit developing 245bhp. And the model nearly all customers go for, the 2.5-litre IS 300h petrol/electric hybrid. Styling changes made to this improved IS see it get restyled headlamps, larger and deeper air intakes integrated in the bumper and a further evolution of the signature Lexus spindle grille.
