Motability cars for sale at Inchcape

Free standard chargepoint and installation

Available with any electric Motability car at Inchcape

Free chargepoint and installation with Inchcape Motability

You can save over £1,000 a year in fuel savings by switching to an electric car, as it can cost as little as 2p per mile. You don’t miss out on performance and acceleration however, as electric cars benefit from instant torque whilst also being environmentally friendly with their zero tailpipe emissions!

What’s more, if you’re leasing your first fully electric car on the Motability Scheme, Motability will cover the cost of a home chargepoint and a standard installation. If you need non-standard installation, for example, if your parking space is not next to your home or your electrical equipment needs upgrading, there will be an additional charge which should be considered before you decide to switch to an electric vehicle.

Having a chargepoint at home is the most convenient and cost-effective way of charging your electric car. However, there are other options available if you do not have off-street parking or cannot have a home chargepoint installed, such as access to the bp pulse network of 9,000 public bp chargepoints.

Whilst a home charger provides an excellent base to keep your car charged for daily use, there will likely be times when you will still need to use one of the 42,000 public chargepoints available across the UK.

By planning ahead and knowing their locations, you can be sure that you’ll never be without power. Using the Zap-Map app is an easy way to find recharge locations around you, however, it’s important to factor charging time into your journey plan, as it takes longer than refuelling with traditional petrol or diesel, however, the fastest machines can give up to 200 miles in just 30 minutes.

Each chargepoint has different connection and charging fees, and subscriptions are usually available, the Zap-Map app allows you to check these details before you use the chargepoint.
