Joining the larger At the beginning of August, the southern annual BBC Countryfile Live event was held at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, and Inchcape Mercedes-Benz had their own pop-up stand.
The Event
BBC Countryfile Live has two events every year; one in Oxfordshire and one in Yorkshire, so that it’s available to people who live at both ends of the country.
As you’d expect, it’s all about celebrating the countryside in all its glory. From sampling produce and hearing from farmers, through to family friendly activities and debates, BBC Countryfile Live is a fantastic, action-packed, and incredibly fun weekend event to attend.
Our Stand
Our Inchcape Mercedes-Benz team were in the thick of the action showcasing to the public the magnificent vehicles we have to offer.
We had a selection of vehicles on display including the B-Class and the E-Class, and we also gave visitors an exclusive look at the yet-to-be-released, brand new EQC – the first Mercedes-Benz fully electric 4x4.
As well as the cars, we were showcasing a range of official Mercedes-Benz merchandise that guests could purchase, and we even exhibited F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton’s racing suit.
Amazing Driving Experiences
Across the weekend, the team gave attendees the chance to get up close and personal with Mercedes-Benz by offering fantastic driving experiences. Visitors could choose whether to get behind the wheel of the GLE, or head out as a passenger in the G63.
If they chose the first option, they had the opportunity to drive the GLE across two obstacles: a log ramp, which was a real challenge, and a cross axle where they’d have two wheels up in the air. As a G63 passenger, visitors would be in the vehicle as it tackled the cross axle once again, and also as it drove up and over a four-foot ramp.
It’s fair to say that all guests who took part in our driving experiences thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and the Inchcape Mercedes-Benz stand made quite an impression.
We’re thrilled that our Inchcape Mercedes-Benz team were able to attend the 2019 BBC Countryfile Live event and offer the public a chance to experience two much-loved Mercedes-Benz vehicles in action; simultaneously demonstrating why this brand is so special and truly iconic.
