COVID-19 (Coronavirus): A Message from our Chief Executive

Read our latest COVID-19 business update

Dear customers,

Here at Inchcape the health and wellbeing of our customers, colleagues and communities is of utmost importance.

All of our centres remain open for business in order to support all of our customers. Please be reassured that we have elevated our standards of hygiene, incorporating additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures, as well as increasing cleaning frequency, to help protect the safety of our community. In addition, we have adopted a no handshake policy across our network.

To further support, we will continue to follow the latest official guidance from the UK Government, Public Health England and the World Health Organisation.

Below outlines the specific steps Inchcape has taken, and will continue to take, to safeguard employees’ and customers’ health and well-being during a pandemic while ensuring the company’s ability to maintain operations and continue providing essential service to our customers.

Our plan includes:

  • A core team within the business to ensure we maintain ‘business as usual’

  • Creating a dedicated virtual space for our colleagues with the latest guidance and business updates

  • Supporting our colleagues who need extra help at this time

  • Incorporating additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures, as well as increasing cleaning frequency including regular disinfection of cars’ handles, gear knobs and steering wheels

  • Adopting a ‘no contact’ policy across our business

  • Significantly reducing all colleague travel to prevent our colleagues visiting multiple showrooms

There will be a number of you affected by this outbreak as there are across the nation and we absolutely must look out for one another at this time. Inchcape will continue to provide its support to its customers, colleagues and the wider community in any way possible.

We thank you all for your continued support of our business and we encourage all of customers and colleagues to keep safe.

Kind regards,

James Brearley
Inchcape UK CEO
