In June, we held our exclusive Cooper Ipswich Luxury Ride & Drive event at the stunning Kesgrave Hall in the heart of the Suffolk countryside to launch the BMW Luxury range. We brought with us exquisite models from the range including: the 8 Series Coupé and Convertible, the brand new 7 Series and the X7; plus the X5 and Z4 that were both launched earlier this year.
On the day, we enjoyed glorious warmth and blue skies; the perfect conditions for our guests to take these fantastic BMWs for a spin around the beautiful countryside and leafy lanes. We held a session in the morning and one in the afternoon, during which our guests could get behind the wheel of some of the cars in the luxury range, as well as try out the electric BMW i3 and i8, the BMW M Range and the MINI John Cooper Works Hatch. Thanks to its legendary handing, the MINI in particular went down exceptionally well with everyone who took it out for a test drive.
We were thrilled to welcome BMW Brand Ambassador, and self-confessed car fanatic, Jodie Kidd along to the event. Jodie enjoyed putting the BMW Luxury Range cars and the MINI Hatch through their paces while thrashing them around the twists and turns of the country roads. She was also very keen to accompany our guests on their test drives to see what they thought, and to share her extensive BMW knowledge with them.

The friendly Ipswich team, which included their BMW Genius, were on hand throughout the day to provide a wealth of knowledge and information about all of the cars, and ensured all the 122 test drives that took place ran smoothly. The guests were incredibly impressed by all of the cars at the event, and loved test driving them. The general consensus was that the 8 Series Coupé, the X7 and the i8 were solid favourites. They were also very impressed by the power and acceleration of the i3.
We, and everyone else involved, thoroughly enjoyed the Luxury Ride & Drive event. It truly was a roaring success, and an unforgettable day. We’re so pleased that we were able to showcase the BMW Luxury Range in all its glory, and offer our guests an amazing opportunity to experience some of the most majestic cars currently on the market.
