First look: the Audi e-tron GT prototype
Introducing the Audi e-tron GT
Following in the steps of the successful Audi e-tron SUV and Audi e-tron Sportback, the e-tron GT combines the passion and performance of Audi Sport with the efficiency and technology of electric driving.
The e-tron GT is a four door coupe which features a flat floor architecture which allows for dynamic proportions and a low centre of gravity. Whilst 590hp ensures performance fitting of a sports car.
The Audi e-tron GT arrives in Spring 2021. Register your interest now to be one of the first to experience it.

Audi e-tron GT Highlights
The e-tron GT features classic, beautiful Gran Turismo proportions. Whilst it may feature traditional proportions the materials used have been developed with Porsche to ensure they are as lightweight as possible, with carbon and aluminum predominately featuring.
The design features broad lines, a solid rear diffuser, 22" aerodynamic wheels, large air intakes and a sloping roofline whilst also ensuring a low drag ecoefficiency. The e-tron GT showcases LED technology with Matrix LED headlights and laser high beams, light animations and a rear light strip the width of the car. There is no mistaking this is an Audi e-tron car.
Inside the e-tron GT features a cabin that combines an environmental focus whilst also matching Audi DNA with style, comfort and luxury. With four seats, four doors and two luggage compartments which combined provide 550l of space, the e-tron GT is as practical as it is fast.
The interior features sustainable materials throughout, with no animal based products. The sports seats and trims use a synthetic leather, fabrics are made from recycled fibers and the deep pile carpet is made from used fishing nets. The rest of the interior is driver focused. The configurable displays in the car feature a black panel finish so when not in use they blend into the interior. A floating ambience has been created through using light colours on the top section of the cockpit which darken towards the floor.
With 590hp generated from the separate electric motors fitted to the front and rear axles, the e-tron GT provides an exhilarating drive. The car features an electric quattro system to coordinate the power and torque between the axles and different wheels to ensure optimum tractor and desired slip, fitting of a sports car. The e-tron features all wheel steering to aid low speed maneuvers, but to also increase the precise and stable driving experience at higher speeds. The low centre of gravity, created by keeping the mass of the batteries low in the car ensures excellent handling.
It is predicted the e-tron will accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds and onto 125mph in 12 seconds.
The e-tron GT features a range of 400km, due to its large 90 kWh lithium-ion battery which extends the whole length of the car. This gives the e-tron GT a low centre of gravity, comparable to the Audi R8 which ensures dynamic and precise handling.
The e-tron GT features a recuperation system which increases the range by up to 30%. Up to 0.3g of braking force the Audi e-tron GT uses the electric motors to aid deceleration and recuperate energy, this covers 90% of the car's decelerations. The e-tron GT can intelligently predict when to use regeneration and when to use the car's standard brakes to ensure smooth transitions and maximum efficiency.
The Audi e-tron GT can be charged in several ways. Firstly, using a cable connected to the socket on the front wing like any other electric or hybrid car. More excitingly, the e-tron GT supports wireless charging. Through installing a charging pad where the car is often parked, in a garage or on a driveway, the alternating magnetic field induces an alternating voltage which can be used by the car to charge its battery. The e-tron GT can be fully charged overnight using this method.
Due to the car's 800-volt system, wired charging is much quicker. It takes around 20 minutes for the battery to recharge to 80% which provides a range of 320km. The e-tron GT is also supported by lower voltage charging stations as well, so the e-tron GT can be charged conveniently anywhere.
